John “Jack” Graff, age 57, of Medford, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the UW Madison Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford.  Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

John was born on October 5, 1961 in Marshfield,  the son of Robert Sr. and Shirley (Tischendorf) Graff. After Robert passed away Shirley remarried Ernie Krause.  John was raised on a dairy farm in rural Stetsonville where he loved to help in the barn.  On August 22, 1981, he was united in marriage to Maureen Shannon.

John enjoyed building things with his hands .  He worked at Meyer Manufacturing in Dorchester out of high school, and later was a self-employed contractor.  He also enjoyed working on cars and snowmobiles.  He loved riding snowmobiles and at one time had collected over 80 sleds.  He loved cooking for his family, but would never share his famous recipes, especially his pizza dough.  It will always be his top secret.  Most importantly, John cherished his family, and love teasing his children, especially his daughter.

John is survived by his wife: Maureen; sons: Adam (Mattie) of Dorchester and Jon (friend Sierra Mannel) of Lake Hallie, and a daughter: Megan (friend Austin Mientke) of Medford; a grandson: Jack; three brothers: Ed (Kathy) of Stetsonville, Dan (Barb) of Stetsonville, and Tim of Wausau; and three sisters: Nancy (Dave) Jenks of Florida, Sarah of Florida, and Joanne (Butch) Firnstal of Medford along with many  nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Step-father; brother: Robert Jr. and sister: Mary Redd.
