Larry G. Gaddis, age 84, of Withee, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home under the tender care of hospice. Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen.  A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the  Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Larry was born on August 23, 1934, the son of Frank A. and Lavina (Lenig) Gaddis, in Des Moines Iowa. He graduated from Curlew High School in 1953. On June 19, 1955, Larry married Helen Louise Rigby in Laurens, Iowa. Larry farmed with his father until 1959 when the family moved to Withee to farm. He farmed there with his nephew; David and grandson; Blake until the time of his death.                       .

Larry enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the casino’s and winters in Texas with close friends; Eldon and Carol Hurley from Iowa.                        He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Most importantly, Larry cherished his family.

Larry leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Helen of Withee; children; Linda Kraemer of Marshfield, Carol (Garry) Rasmussen of Marshfield and Steven (Berta) Gaddis of Seymour, MO, grandchildren; Aaron, Blake, Victor, Carlos, Karen, Tony, Allen, Stacy and Aaron, 9 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister-in-law; Betty Gaddis of Bonfield, IL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Frank and Art Gaddis and a sister-in-law; Muriel Gaddis.
