Lawrence and Barbara farmed in Neillsville and later moved to a farm in the Town of Holton. There they farmed for 30 years. After farming, Lawrence drove semi-truck for 15 years before retiring. “You can take the men off the farm but you can’t take the farm out of the men.” Even after selling the farm, he enjoyed helping his sons with field work.
