Starla Ann Amacher, age 70, of Peoria, Arizona, died Monday, December 17th, 2018 at Peoria Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation.

She was born June 9, 1948 in Medford, Wisconsin to Fred and Grace (Bockin) Amacher.  She lived on the family farm in Longwood until 1956 when Fred purchased the Amacher’s Trading Post in Owen.  She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1966 and worked in the community where she also enjoyed socializing with friends on the pool and darts leagues.

She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 1977, and completed microcomputer classes from the Minneapolis Technical Institute.   She worked for various accounting firms until she did a job transfer to Phoenix, Arizona with American Express in 1998 and from whom she took a disability retirement.

Starla is survived by one brother, Dale (Nancy) Amacher of Withee, one sister-in-law, Joan Amacher of Owen, three sisters Sherrie (David) Seidel of Viroqua, Shelbie (Robert) Tarlowski of Phoenix, and Sheila (Dale) Haugle of Colfax, thirteen nieces and nephews and their families living in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arizona, Iowa, and Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Ronald, Russell, and Bruce; a sister-in-law Betty (Mech) Amacher and a great-niece, Jennifer Reinking.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20th at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen, Wisconsin, officiated by Pastor Nancy Amacher.  Visitation is from 12 Noon to 2:00pm with the service starting at 2:00pm.  Inurnment will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Participants are encourage to wear respectful Green Bay Packer or Beavers Bar and Grill apparel.
